Dark Clouds, Downpours, Delays, and Defense, then Finally FAMU are SWAC Champs!!!

After a long day of rainy downpouring and good drenching showers at Bragg Memorial Stadium, the nationally ranked #5 Florida A&M University Rattlers were able to celebrate it’s 2nd victory over Prairie View A&M University Panthers this year with a 35 – 14 win, and it’s 1st football championship in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). This also means that FAMU that will be traveling up to Atlanta to represent the SWAC in the Celebration Bowl on Saturday, December 16th against the present Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference champions, Howard University Bison’s team.

The game was an almost repeat of the homecoming trouncing of Prairie View which occurred over a month ago. Only that this game was full of rain delays and lightning breaks with literal dark clouds alongside the stingy FAMU’s Dark Cloud Defense.
