A Celebration of Life for JuJu
A five pound fluffy white Pomeranian spread laughter, happiness and joy every where he went. Mrs. Odessa Butler introduced her fur ball JuJu to strangers, family members, clients, and fellow church members. He’d get excited and put on a show by standing and twirling on his hind legs and raising his paws in the air to clap. Meanwhile, Mrs. Butler would prompt the pooch to “praise the Lord” more for a quick treat.
JuJu’s life met a tragic end earlier this month during what seemed a typical morning walk in the neighborhood. A pit bull broke loose and mauled the small dog.
A celebration of life took place in memory of Mrs. Butler’s pride and joy at Chandler’s Funeral Chapel on December 9. There were remembrances, a song, and poetry readings that brought laughter, some tears and joy, the same way little JuJu did.
