Aaron Randall II to Receive Manatee High School Outstanding Alumni Award

Aaron L. Randall II has been selected to receive the 2025 Outstanding Alumni Award from Manatee High School at its banquet on May 15th at the Bradenton Country Club. Randall is a 2002 graduate of Manatee High and will join other graduates selected for this prestigious honor.

At Manatee, Randall was a standout athlete, competing in football, baseball, and basketball while also earning recognition in “Who’s Who Among High School Students”. He earned a scholarship to Grambling State University, where he continued to excel both on and off the field. He was a key contributor to the 2002 and 2005 National Black College and SWAC Championship football teams and made history by representing the SWAC conference at the College Baseball World Series in 2006. In addition to being a two-sport athlete at Grambling, Randall earned a 4.0 GPA, the highest grade point average on both the football and baseball team.

Randall earned both a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master of Science in Sports Administration. Since graduation, he has dedicated himself to public service. He began his career assisting troubled juveniles at the Juvenile Assessment Center before joining the Florida Department of Corrections as a probation officer. In 2009, he became a deputy with one of the largest law enforcement agencies in the country, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. Since his induction, he has risen to the rank of Lieutenant (Shift Commander) by the age of 40. Throughout his career, he has received numerous commendations, including the prestigious Life Saving Award for preventing a suicide on the Skyway Bridge.

Randall is a Life Member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and has served as the Polemarch (President/CEO) of the Sarasota Alumni Chapter, mentoring young men, and leading various community service initiatives. Under his leadership, the Sarasota Alumni Chapter received national recognition for its impact in Manatee and Sarasota Counties. He is a member of St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church, a charter member of the Miami Alumni Chapter of Grambling State University, and a Life Member of the Grambling State University National Alumni Association. He and his wife, Keosha, have two daughters, Zairee and Journey Randall.
