NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS

This week, some Sarasota neighbors put their household chores aside to offer a helping hand to Dixie Avenue residents.

On Saturday, Light of the World International Church members in partnership with Newtown Nation trimmed trees, cleaned curbs, handled landscaping and planted fruit trees as part of their “adopt a neighborhood” outreach initiative organized by Executive Pastor Peter Greenidge.
Future projects include home repairs.

Since the beginning of the year, Greenidge has organized activities such as weekend prayer walks, a block party and holiday toy drive to strengthen community relationships. With Thanksgiving less than a month away and Christmas soon after, more events are planned to celebrate the season with Newtown neighbors.
