Sarasota Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Receives Awards
The Sarasota (FL) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. walked away with three prestigious awards at the 75th Southern Province Council meeting on March 27-30 in Jacksonville, Florida. The Southern Province of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity covers Alabama, the Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Florida, Panama and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Sarasota Alumni Chapter received awards for Chapter of the Year, Community Service Chapter of the Year and Website of the Year. In addition, as the Achievement Committee Chair with the Southern Province, Tim Dawkins received an achievement award for serving under six Province Polemarchs.
The Chapter is now eligible to apply for the Paul W. Caine Alumni Chapter of the Year Award, the highest Grand Chapter award available to alumni chapters for outstanding achievement. They will also apply for the Website of the Year Award. The winners will be announced at the 87th Grand Chapter Meeting which will be held in Phoenix, Arizona in July.
Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. is a historically African American fraternity, founded on January 5, 1911.
