PLATINUM SUPERSTARS ARE GRAND CHAMPIONS!

Platinum Superstars Dance Factory in Newtown recently brought home the Grand Championship title at the St. Petersburg “Battle of the ‘Burg Part 2” competition. The team received the Overall Grand Champion Award for placing the highest in each category and garnering multiple first place trophies. The team placed first in Parade Dance and Creative Dance and second in Stand Battle. They also won the Best Parent Participation Award. The Platinum Superstars Dance Factory was founded by Tonisha Benson because of her love for dance.
“Since I was five years old, I have had a love for dance and have always wanted to give inner city boys and girls something positive to look forward to in their community,”
she said. The group has been in existence for two years and offers competitive and recreational classes for boys and girls ages 5-18. There are 50 competitive students ages 5 – 18 and five recreational students ages 3 and up. The team will host their Easter Showcase on Easter Sunday, April 21st at 3:00 p.m. at the Roy McBean Boys & Girls Club. The cost is $10.00 for ages 5 and up and free for those 4 and under.
