DOLLAR DYNASTY BRIGHTENED THE HOLIDAYS FOR HUNDREDS IN SARASOTA
On Saturday, it was the children’s turn. 200 children each received a new book and small, medium and large toys. Four lucky raffle winners also received brand new bicycles. The children were excited and slightly overwhelmed to see the vast wonderland of toys awaiting them. Many of the toys were obtained through the efforts of the Manasota Track Club’s Annual Thanksgiving Toy/Pie Run. Dollar Dynasty is grateful to Track Club and their runners for all their wonderful donations. The food and additional gifts were purchased with money earned from sales at Dollar Dynasty’s store and donations from local businesses and the community. More toys were also donated by the Masala Giving Circle of the Community
Foundation and can be picked up at Dollar Dynasty until Christmas Eve. Dollar Dynasty was also grateful for the help of some very special volunteers who helped to distribute the items. Volunteers included Robert and Azerene Barnes of Clearwater, Gordon Sissing of Michigan and Elva Garcia Torres, Daniel Velazquez Gonzales and Kat Grimmett, without whom these events could not have happened. The purpose of these events was to help parents who needed assistance with providing for their children at Christmas. This nonprofit organization seeks to bring joy to the lives of many children who may not otherwise receive toys during the holiday season. To be able to put a smile on a child’s face during the holiday season is tremendously important. Families were grateful to receive the food and gifts and were looking forward to celebrating this holiday season. Many charities also have Christmas giveaways. What makes Dollar Dynasty unique is that this organization services the community all year long. These giveaways are just 2 of Dollar Dynasty’s many community projects that are presented to the public free of charge. This year, Dollar Dynasty provided more than 200 Thanksgiving dinners to low-income families in the community. The organization also distributes food boxes every Friday and offer many other services to aid the neighborhood.
