Grambling State University Hosts Black History Event

The Grambling State University Alumni Association Miami Chapter, commenced Black History Month celebrations in collaboration with IMG Academy in Bradenton. During a Black History event on January 30th, the association distributed informational materials about Grambling. Representatives from other historically Black colleges and Greek organizations were on hand and shared valuable insights and resources to participants.

For the past two years, the alumni association has partnered with IMG during Black History Month to highlight and bring awareness to Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs).

“Throughout the year, we actively participate in college fairs to attract high school students to our beloved university,” said Aaronn Randall, II. “Additionally, we engage in local parades and community events to promote Grambling State University.” Their motto is “Grambling State University is the place where everybody is somebody.”

The Miami Chapter of Grambling State University National Alumni Association was established on July 15, 2022 and serves the South Florida region.

Local residents Kenyatta Randall, Ericka Randall and Aaron Randall, II are charter members of the chapter. Officers are Terri Giles, president and Lisa Perry-Patterson, vice president.
