MISS DEBUTANTE 2019 IS CROWNED

Chloe Carnegie was crowned Miss Debutante 2019
The Royal Sara-Mana Club Inc. of Tampa Bay hosted its 53rd Annual Debutante Cotillion on Saturday April 13, 2019 at the IMG Academy Golf Club. The theme was “Stepping in Society with Royalty and Splendor.”
Five outstanding young ladies were presented to the community: Chloe Carnegie, Janiya Dawes, Eiyan Flemming, Leix Lubin and Merkabah Williams. Chloe Carnegie was crowned Miss Debutante 2019. Janiya Dawes was selected Miss Congeniality 2019 and Cobee Crawford was selected Mr. Escort 2019.
Chloe is the daughter of Christopher Carnegie and the granddaughter of Carolyn Carnegie. She is a junior at Braden River High School and was escorted by Cobee Crawford. Janiya is the daughter of Jermaine and Sonya Agurs and is a senior at Manatee High School. She was escorted by Jeramya Dawes. Eiyan is the daughter of Eric and Shequtial Flemming and is a senior at Bayshore High School. She was escorted by Joshua Morrow. Leix is the daughter of Joanes and Edith Lubin and is a senior at Manatee High School. She was escorted by Jaylend Williams. Merkabah is the daughter of Ben Brown and Isa Williams. She is a senior at Bayshore High School and was escorted by LaDarius Thomas.
The commentator for the cotillion was Beverly Bryant who has served as Royal SaraMana’s commentator for over 12 years. Words of wisdom were given to the debutantes by guest speaker, Shay Cook, a motivational speaker and published author. Prior to the cotillion, debutantes and escorts attended workshops and trainings conducted by community leaders in the areas of etiquette, education, goal setting, and future planning. Jacqueline T. Lewis is president of the Royal Sara-Mana Club. Cotillion chairperson was Paula Beard, and co-chairpersons were Alma Colvin and Jacqueline Houston. Kathryn Jones, one of the founders of the club, serves as Cotillion advisor.
