TIFFANY WESTON: ATTORNEY AT LAW: WINS FIRST ARGUMENT IN FEDERAL COURT
Tiffany Weston, a third year associate with the law firm of Latham & Watkins, LLP, recently celebrated a notable achievement in her career when she skillfully pulled off a winning summary judgment argument for an American multinational technology corporation. This was Weston’s first argument in federal court.
Weston is a native of Sarasota and is the daughter of Charlene Brookins Weston of Maryland and Cliff Weston of Sarasota. She attended Bay Haven School of Basics Plus and McIntosh Middle School before moving to the Maryland area. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering from the University of Maryland and received her JD degree from Georgetown Law School. During law school, she was managing editor of the Food and Drug Law Journal.
Weston works in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins, where she is a member of the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice. She represents clients in a variety of technology-focused and pharmaceutical litigation, including patents and other civil claims and has experience advising clients through pre-suit investigation, discovery, and document collection and production.
Prior to joining Latham, Weston worked as a Primary Patent Examiner at the US Patent and Trademark Office in medical diagnostics technology. During her tenure, she detailed at the Patent Trial and Appeal (PTAB) developing extensive knowledge of PTAB’s operations and decision-making processes. She has experience analyzing invalidity, infringement, and claim construction for patent disputes.
