ZETA PHI BETA SORORITY CELEBRATES 100 YEARS

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority celebrated its 100 years as an organization this month.  This esteemed African American women’s service organization marked its Centennial on January 16, 2020.  Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated was founded in 1920 on the campus of Howard University, and is headquartered in Washington, DC.  Zeta has initiated a diverse membership of more than 125,000 college-educated women with more than 850 chapters in North America, Europe, Asia, the Caribbean, Africa and the Middle East.

The local chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Gamma Rho Zeta Chapter, marked this occasion by having the local governments of Manatee and Sarasota Counties issue proclamations naming January 16, 2020 “Zeta Phi Beta Sorority 100th Year Anniversary Day” (Sarasota County) and “Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Day” (Manatee County).
