A Give Back Organization

Dollar Dynasty opened its doors in 2003.  A charitable organization that is committed to help people in need in the community.  It doesn’t matter whether you are struggling to get out of a place you find yourself in or struggling to get out of a place you have been in for a long time.  The organization brand is to meet the person where they are and help them.  On Saturday, December 18, the organization gave out Christmas presents to families.   A tradition that started over 18 years ago.

The 83 year old founder, Victoria Brown, continues to be a mainstream of assistance in the community. When asked about her work and why she continues to be a symbol of hope for many. She stated,

“We are a give back agency.”

Miss Brown desire of giving back is because she grew up on a plantation and life was hard.  When her family left the plantation in 1953 and moved to Clearwater Florida; she realized there were opportunities that were afforded to her that she did not have living on the plantation.  For her and many others, Dollar Dynasty is a symbol of hope.   The agency is open Monday through Saturday assisting people with food, clothing, and school supplies.  Christmas for the agency is a  time of the year that places a comma behind a year that will close past doubts and struggles; and open a new year with hope.

Over 300 families signed up to receive toys for their children. And over 15 volunteers came to assist with distribution of toys and gifts to the families.  They came from Clearwater, Safety Harbor, and Miami, Florida.  There was a  visiting family member from Chicago, Illinois who came out to help.  The ages range from 75 to 14 years old.  They were professionals, business owners, and retirees.  Eight bicycles were raffled off.  And each child was allowed to choose two gifts; and they received a special gift from Dollar Dynasty.  No one was left out; each parent received a gift.  The toys and gifts were donated to Dollar Dynasty by community members and groups who are dedicated to the cause of giving back.

Miss Brown wants to thank the people and the organizations that continues to support Dollar Dynasty and make this yearly event a success.   She is grateful to the volunteers who continue to give selflessly their time.

“No matter what else is going on in the world; Dollar Dynasty will continue to do good things.”

Victoria Brown.
