BUTTERFLIES AND DREAMS PRESENT BOOK AWARD

The Butterflies and Dreams Book Club hosted their annual book award reception, presenting four awards to students graduating from Sarasota and Manatee schools. The 2019 award recipients were Felicia Hill, Booker High School, who will attend State College of Florida as a Health Science major; Caitlynne Laguerre, Southeast High School, who will also attend State College of Florida and will major in Political Science; Jean Bernard Ozit, Jr., Lakewood Ranch High School who will attend the University of Central Florida and major in Business, and Destiny Womack, Bayshore High School, who will attend Florida Gulf Coast University to major in Biology. Each received a $200.00 award. Butterflies and Dreams was established December, 1998 by a group of friends to came together to share their thoughts about books they read. What emerged from that meeting has been a group of thoughtful, community-minded women who are instrumental in supporting community organizations and graduating high school students. Jogina Jones is the group’s president.
