MANATEE TIGER BAY HOLDS ANNIVERSARY INAUGURAL PAT GLASS LEADERSHIP AWARDS DINNER

To a standing room only crowd, the Manatee County Tiger Bay Club bestowed on community leaders its first Inaugural Pat Glass Leadership Awards. Hats off to Club President Xtavia Bailey who did a yeoman’s job in presenting this event. Reward recipients included:
. Patricia Glass, Lifetime Achievement Award, Founder and former President Manatee Tiger Bay Club;
- Congressman Vern Buchanan, Presidential Award, 16th District;
- John and Amanda Horne, Business Leadership Award, Owners Anna Maria Oyster Bar;
- Dr. Carol Probstfeld, Educational Award, President State College of Florida;
- Chalres Clapsaddle, Media Visionary Award, Manager of Manatee Educational TV;
- Manatee County Sheriff Rick Wells, First Responders Award;
- Rick Yocum, Nonprofit Award, Exec Director Manatee Humane Society, and
- Susie Bowie, Philanthropy Award, Exec Director, Manatee Community Foundation.
Some members of the Manatee County Commission presented the awards to the honorees.
Manatee Tiger Bay Club, Inc., established in 2009, is a non-partisan organization formed to present exciting, stimulating and thought-provoking programs with topics ranging from political, social, local, state to national issues. We are a club geared to serve local business and community members. New members and guests are welcome. Speakers are politicians, elected officials, community leaders, public affairs experts and citizens deeply involved in the topic at hand. Presentations are followed by a Q&A from our members.
The Club meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month at Pier 22 Ballroom, downtown Bradenton on the Manatee River. Doors open at 11:15 am for social time among members and guests. The lunch and program starts at noon.
