Lady Tornadoes’ Softball Team On Fire

It’s been almost a quarter of a century since Booker High’s softball team placed first in the district; the last time the softball team went to states was 1994. The softball team was 8-0 in district 5A this year (and 9-6) overall. This is their year! Playoffs begin this week and BHS is number One.

Head Coach Tina McCrea says the team’s strength is determination. “They have strong hits and strong pitching.”

“If we stay on this track, we win the playoffs and go to regionals.”

BHS plays Desoto County at DeSoto County Monday, April 22 at 7 p.m., and they play Palmetto in Tornado Alley at 6 pm Thursday, April 25th. Senior/alumni night is Friday, April 26 at6pmathome;BHS plays Northside Christian. Special guests will be the pitcher and alumni from the 1994.
