SCF Awarded More Than $30,000 for Student Scholarships

(Bradenton, Fla.) — The State College of Florida Foundation (SCFF) recently received $30,844 from the Florida College System Foundation to be used for three student scholarships at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF).

  • SCF received $15,018 for the Florida Blue Nursing and Allied Health Scholarship. This scholarship program is focused on attracting students from underrepresented population segments into the nursing workforce. 
  • SCF received $9,686 for the Helios Education Foundation First Generation Scholarship. The funds from this scholarship help students pay for tuition, books and fees. Preference is given to students who are preparing for a career in education with the intent to become a teacher in Florida.
  • SCF received $6,140 for the Bank of America “Dream Makers Scholarship.” This scholarship is awarded to first generation students to cover tuition, books, fees, transportation and childcare.
