Palmetto’s Fourth of July Festivities Postponed

Fireworks on the 4th of July have been part of our tradition to celebrate the enduring freedoms we have in America, and to honor all those who fought for those freedoms. This year, in light of the Coronavirus, things are a little different.  The Palmetto Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) has had to cancel the 4th of July concert, but the headlining act, Wynonna & the Big Noise have agreed to reschedule for July 4, 2021.  The decision was preemptively made in order to protect event patrons during these uncertain times.  We hope to see everyone at next year’s Fourth Fest Concert.  In the meantime, this year, on Labor Day weekend, we will again send up fireworks to celebrate the freedoms we enjoy in America.  Let’s also celebrate the first responders, health care workers and business owners who sustained us during these unprecedented times.  We truly have much to be thankful for, and it is so good to get America back to business, doing the important work at hand.  Stay safe, dear friends.
