SAACC Names Chianti Josey Development Manager as Leonard Reid House Marks 100 Years
New development manager will lead fundraising, donor engagement, and community partnerships as the historic Leonard Reid House celebrates its centennial.
SARASOTA, Fla. — The Sarasota African American Cultural Coalition (SAACC) has appointed Chianti Josey as its new Development Manager, marking an important milestone in the organization’s growth and long-term sustainability.
The appointment comes as the Leonard Reid House celebrates its 100th anniversary. With activity and community engagement continuing to grow at the historic site and through SAACC’s expanding programs, the organization identified the need for dedicated development leadership to strengthen fundraising efforts and advance its long-term vision.
In her new role, Josey will lead initiatives focused on donor engagement, grant development, fundraising strategy, and community partnerships. Her work will help secure resources for SAACC’s day-to-day operations, special cultural and educational programs, and future capital campaigns designed to preserve and enhance the organization’s historic and cultural assets.
“This is a transformative moment for SAACC—one that has been much anticipated,” said SAACC CEO Vickie Oldham. “As we celebrate 100 years of the Leonard Reid House, we are also looking toward the future. This advancement demonstrates our commitment to building a stronger foundation for growth.”
Josey brings more than two decades of experience in nonprofit fundraising, community partnerships, and organizational operations. She has helped mission-driven organizations strengthen development processes, expand donor engagement, secure grant funding, and connect critical resources with community needs.

As SAACC continues preserving, celebrating, and sharing the rich history and contributions of Sarasota’s African American community, Josey’s leadership will help expand the organization’s capacity and strengthen its impact throughout the region.
