HENRY PORTER TO CELEBRATE 50TH ANNIVERSARY

The Westcoast Gospel Chorus of Florida is kicking off the 50th Anniversary celebration with an Anniversary Appreciation for the founder Dr. Henry L. Porter, Bishop of the Westcoast Centers for Human Development. Starting this Friday night with guest Pastor Dwayne Harvey from the Tallahassee: Greater Blessings Tabernacle of Praise. The actual Anniversary date is July 20, 1969 wherein the young Henry L. Porter returned from Yale University after the death of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr and stirred up young folk into action by teaching the Gospel and sharing his gifts of Music and songs. Since the first concert The Westcoast Gospel Chorus of Florida has traveled the world singing and teaching and ministering, visiting and bringing comfort and joy to Prisoners, congregations, conferences, and arts venues as well as prestigious places such as The White House! Thank you Dr. Porter, a Sarasota born native, for sharing your gifts to the world!
