Key Fitch Named Delta of the Year
Key Fitch has been named the Bradenton Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.’s Delta of the Year Award 2026. The Delta of the Year Award is an annual chapter honor established in 1989 to celebrate members whose service, commitment, and leadership strengthen the chapter and advance the mission of the Sorority.
Fitch is a native of Flint, Michigan and has lived the life of an entrepreneur for over 20 years in various capacities. For 10 years, she owned Key 2 Life Training, LLC also known as The Pink Powerhouse; Manatee County’s premier ALL FEMALE fully equipped training and cycling facility. She closed the doors in February 2022, and began preparations to start two new different ventures at the same time. In October 2021, she started and operated Ladies’ Shot Bartending, LLC for 4 years, a mobile bartending company that serviced the Sarasota, Bradenton, St. Pete, and Tampa Bay areas. In October 2022, she and her business partner celebrated the grand opening of Circle The Sun Fitness, Sarasota’s newest 10,000 sq ft 24-hour health club that provides fitness services and amenities for the entire family. Circle Key’s latest venture, Strategic Wellness 101, is an educational resource that specializes in natural weight loss & maintenance through proven fitness training, nutritional coaching and workshops.
A chemical engineer by training, Key has worked on various engineering projects in Michigan, California, and Texas. Although she found those projects mentally stimulating and rewarding, she has truly found her calling as an entrepreneur and in business development with bringing new business ideas from conception to reality. She has a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering and holds certifications as a personal trainer, sports nutritionist, running coach, seniors fitness instruct or, spin instructor, group fitness instructor, and as a bartender.
The Delta of the Year Award was created to recognize members who often work quietly behind the scenes to make chapter initiatives successful. Honorees are known for their untiring and dedicated commitment to the chapter, their financial and physical support of chapter projects and programs, their active involvement, and their promotion of the founding principles of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. “Delta of the Year is more than an award; it is a reflection of the heart of our chapter,” said Kimberly Albritton, President of the Bradenton Alumnae Chapter. “Each honoree represents the spirit of service, sisterhood, scholarship, and social action that continues to guide our work and impact in the community.”
Key is a 31 year member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc and is mom to two amazing sons; Kai who is in Dental School at Howard University, and Jordan, who is serving his country in the United States Air Force stationed in England.
